Toast, NetSuite, and restaurant technology for multi-unit brands

Most multi-unit restaurant brands don't have a technology problem. They have an integration problem: sales in the POS, costs in the ERP, labor in payroll, delivery spread across marketplace portals, and no two of them agree.

What I do

POS selection and Toast conversions

Evaluate options against how your stores actually operate, negotiate the contract, and plan the rollout store by store. Structure menus, modifiers, and discounts so they report cleanly into finance instead of creating cleanup work every month.

NetSuite for multi-unit restaurants

Set up the location and account structure so every store has its own P&L, post daily sales from the POS into the general ledger, and bring inventory, procurement, and vendor payments into one system.

Mobile ordering and loyalty

Select and launch the app, then connect loyalty, discount, and digital order data back to margin so you can see whether the program is paying for itself.

Integration and reconciliation

Make the systems agree: POS to general ledger, third-party delivery commissions and payouts, gift card liability, and labor from payroll. This is where most restaurant reporting quietly breaks.

Executive dashboards

Store profitability, labor efficiency, and sales trends in Power BI, built on POS and ERP data your team trusts because it reconciles.

Vendor contracts

Technology contracts are where multi-unit brands overpay. I've negotiated SaaS agreements that saved $20M+ and know which terms matter as you add locations.

Signs you need this

  • Month-end close takes weeks because someone has to tie POS reports to the books by hand.
  • Store P&Ls arrive too late to change anything, or nobody believes them.
  • Delivery sales look healthy but you can't say what each channel earns after commissions.
  • You're planning a POS conversion or first ERP and want it done once, correctly.
  • A new app or loyalty program launched and nobody can tell you what it returned.

Done from the inside

As Senior Director of Operations for a 30+ location national franchise brand, I owned the full P&L and the technology stack. I negotiated and implemented the company's NetSuite ERP, led the evaluation, conversion, and enterprise-wide deployment of Toast POS and a new mobile ordering and loyalty app, and built the executive dashboards on top of that data. Selection through post-go-live, with the contracts and P&L consequences on my desk.

Common questions

Can you help if we're already mid-implementation and it's going badly?

Yes. Rescues are common. I start by separating what's actually broken from what's just unfamiliar, then reset scope, data, and partner accountability so you can go live on something the business will use.

Do you configure Toast or NetSuite yourself?

I lead the implementation and direct the implementation partner and developers. I specify how menus, locations, accounts, and integrations need to be structured so the reporting works, and I check the build against that.

We're a franchisor. Can you help standardize technology across franchise locations?

Yes. I led the enterprise-wide rollout of POS and a mobile ordering and loyalty app across corporate and franchise locations, including the standards, rollout plan, and reporting that came with it.

What does it cost?

Most engagements start with a fixed-fee diagnostic so you know the scope and cost of the fix before committing to a project. Send me a note on your size and systems and I'll give you a range.

Tell me what isn't adding up

Send a few lines on your business, your locations, your systems, and what's breaking. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help.
